When are parents going to act like parents and not a friend to their children?

Hi everybody
I've seen so much rebellion and disrespect towards parents and other adults by children these days.Parents would rather be friends to their children then have to take responsibility and discipline them when they need it.The kids have plenty of friends to get bad advise from these days. Parents need to regain authority in their own house holds and set their children on the right track.As long as they(children ) are not bothering the parents they can do what ever they want.
